Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yep! Shaz is from both Bardi and Kija peoples of the Kimberley, north-western Australia. They were born in the late seventies on Wongatha land and raised across Bindjareb Noongar boodja, Yawuru buru, Wiradjuri Ngurangbang, and Awabakal and Worimi Country. More recently, both Shaz and Julie (who is a white woman) have been living on Ngunnawal/Ngambri Ngurra.

Proudly so! Julie is queer and has personal experience supporting gender-queer children. Shaz is queer and also non-binary, and uses the pronouns they/them 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Not yet, but you can allocate Goorlil Consulting professional learning to your Self Identified PL  hours.

We live and work on Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country (Canberra) and can travel all over this continent now known as Australia. We also love a good Zoom/Teams meeting ("you're on mute!").

Shaz has lived experience in remote Aboriginal communities and also in the hustle and bustle of Australian and international cities. Julie has supported reconciliation in education in every Australian state and territory.

We certainly can. Shaz is a current board member of Reconciliation Australia and Julie has worked with Narragunnawali, the education team at Reconciliation Australia, supporting both education and organisational RAP development for 5 years.

Absolutely. Julie was an approved provider of her own family daycare service, and worked in ECEC while completing her undergraduate degree. Julie is also an Early Childhood Australia Colloquia alumni.

Personalised learning is  our passion. Our goal is to meet you where you are at and support your journey in a way that makes a difference.
